1. Ingredients such as flour, water, oil, and other minor ingredients are added to the mixer automatically through the top slide gate or liquid inlets.
2. After all ingredients have been added the mixer starts the mixing process. The mixing tools spin at variable speeds (100-1200 RPM). The mixing time usually ranges from 60 to 180 seconds.
3. After the dough has been mixed, the bottom slide gate opens and the dough is discharged and portioined in to managable dough chunks. The dough is typically deposited onto a conveyor system, thus eliminating dough troughs/carts.
4. The complete batch cycle is usually 4 to 6 minutes.
Optional dough handling systems also available for delivering finished product from the mixer to makeup/sheeting equipment.
